Back doors and lockpicks keep a robbery quiet. Keys you find open safes and rooms elsewhere; the best rooms need a drill. ## What can you rob in ROB RUN? Kefir describes Looty Bay as "packed with places to hit", from small corner stores and jewelry shops up to bank vaults and police armories. The same place can pay pocket change or a fortune depending on your gear, the keys you carry and how well you prepare. Houses in the city can be robbed too. | Target | What players say about it | | --- | --- | | Gas stations, pharmacies, corner stores | Low risk, low pay. Official screenshot, Kefir (Steam store). _ ## How do you rob a store without the police coming? Kefir's own advice is to disable the alarms and intimidate the workers. Players add the rest: - **Scout unmasked.** As a civilian nobody treats you as a target. Look for the fuse box or alarm panel, the cameras and a back exit. - **Put the mask on** only when you are ready. That is the moment you become a criminal. - **Disable the alarm first,** then aim at every employee ("hands up"). Staff you are not covering can call it in, and you have to keep reminding them. - **Shoot the cameras** or the alarm can still go off. - **Use the back door.** Pick the lock, go in, close it. From the street the store looks untouched. - **Loot, then leave the area.** Hold the interact key to grab whole containers. Loot and doors reset after a while, so a store robbed by someone else just before you may be empty. Even a clean job is not safe: Kefir points out that rival criminals may hit the same place at the same moment, or a patrol car may drive past. ## What do keys, drills and glass cutters open? - **Safe keys** drop as loot and name the safe they open, often in a different building. One playtest key read "Opens the gas station safe". Robbing an easy store to get the key for a better one is a common plan. - **Room keys** (coloured by rarity) open locked rooms. Two launch-week guides warn that rooms behind purple or better keys hold safes that only open with a **mini-drill**, so unlock the drill before using such a key. One of them says the drill needs Level 2 land. - **Glass cutter** is for the Fabergé Egg job. On 4 November Kefir cut the egg's cracking time but raised the number of tablets you trade for a glass cutter. - **Lenny's back door:** a door in Lenny's bar trades special items, including the glass cutter and fuses used for bigger jobs and base raids (shown in one launch-week guide). ## Why keep robbing in one session? Each crime in a single trip to Looty Bay raises your **Notoriety**. Higher Notoriety means better loot and higher payouts, and more risk. Action cameras add to it: carry one and its bar fills as you pick locks, crack safes and steal, and a full camera sells for cash. Kefir confirms that cops then confiscate only what is in your bag; your equipped gear stays. Fighting it out risks losing everything to the next criminal who finds your body.
